About Bowen's Guide Service

Fishing starts in the Minocqua area with ice-out, usually in mid-April. We start our guiding season for panfish, and our gamefish opener is the first Saturday in May. I guide from April through October, and fish for all species of fish.

Each trip includes transportation to the lake, any equipment you need, and filleting and freezing your catch at the end of the day.

I fish full or half days, or can cater a trip geared to the clients needs. I can supply all equipment, and have been on the guide staff of Mirro-Craft boats since 1984. I buy a new boat every year. I can organize corporate dates as well.

Fly Fishing is also available, targeting bass, pike, musky panfish and trout.

My home base is at Kurt's Island Sport Shop in Minocqua. I have also offered a taxidermy service for over 20 years.
